Dreadful

"I share the same view as other reviews. Dreadful to use, and mine also broke after a few bottles. The corkscrew literally snapped. Very disappointing, and enough to put me off buying any of their other products again."

Broke after 4 bottles opened.

"Do not buy this. Bought at local store in London - the screw broke after 5-6 bottles opeened and less than a month. And it was awful to open bottles with when it was working!"

Terrible in quality AND functionality

"The foil cutter is difficult to get an even cut line. The metal piece involved in the 2nd step of removing the cork is too short and slides off the lip of the bottle. When going through that 2nd step, the gap that's between the 2 metal pieces for 1st and 2nd steps opened and clamped down on the inside of one of my fingers, creating a blood blister. Further, the spiral is too short so that I have to drive the spiral through the bottom of the cork, dropping cork into the wine as I'm doing so, to try to get the cork to lever out of the bottle. I had thought Rabbit products were supposed to be high quality, well-designed products. I was mistaken. I will never buy their products again."

Nice design, poor construction

"The tool works great and looks nice, but it is not quality manufacturing. Machining is rough. Corkscrew is of a light material and feels like it might bend when started. The function of pulling the cork is nice, but the castings are all very rough. It will not stay closed, so you cannot put it in your pocket. To be honest, it is worth the money, and I realize upping the quality of the construction would raise the price. But the design is so nice and functional, it would be worth a price increase to make it a fine tool."

Corkscrew broke into two pieces

"On first use, the corkscrew broke into two pieces when we push it into the cork. This is totally product failure. DoNotBuy."

Set the patent on fire

"The opener is a great idea. Unfortunately, it’s loose, and incorrect proportions for effective opening. I’m a somm in NYC, and I thought I’d have a key that wouldn’t break down after 40 uses. Turns out, due to the lack of usability, I didn’t last 4 bottles before I traded a colleague for a simple double action opener. World of difference."

Clever looking design, terrible functionality

"As a professional who opens 40-50 bottles a day, I should have known better. The design looked clever and maybe an improvement on the standard waiter's corkscrew but unfortunately it's just a gimmick and the cheap flimsy plastic sealed it's fate. The foil cutter is hard to align to get a good clean cut. The corkscrew is too deep in the pocket and hard to pry out without poking yourself, plus once it's out, it's loose and feels flimsy. The two step with hinge looked great in the video online but in reality, worked horribly and felt awkward. I should have known that the company that makes at home electric openers for people who don't want to be bothered to figure out how to use simple tools, wouldn't be able to make a simple tool. Won't be fooled a second time."

So bad

"Of course it looks very nice but this is the worst bottle opener I have ever used. It claims to be for professional waiters but it is too much of a hassle for a situation where your trying to serve guest as fast as you can."

Great Design Even Better Idea

"First I would like to state I am an actual waiter at a higher end restaurant. So I am constantly opening wine bottles I front of guests. Now I do so with this wine key only. Yes, the design is different from a classic wine key, but with just a couple of minutes of practicing with using it with one hand you get the hang of it. I only use this one now because it’s functional and my guests are always impressed. And as any good server knows, even the small things helps you in the long run. Definitely would highly recommend."

Poor quality, broke on second use

"I was excited to have a compact wine opener and the second time I used it one of the hinges fell off and then it was hard to close. I had to get WD-40 so it could open and close properly"
